DESCRIPTION: Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "No. 3 Regulator B. W." hanging clock with a double weight driven 8 day timepiece movement and a B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a black walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in excellent condition with a few very minor scuff marks. The finish is original. The original painted time dial is in very good condition, nicely aged, with loss at the winding holes and the center arbor. The hour, minute and day indicator hands are original. The original painted calendar dial is in excellent condition. The calendar hand is original. All three glasses are original. The pendulum rod has a nice original gilt finish. The lower right finial has several small chips. The top right finial has a repaired crack. A small portion of the top bezel latch is missing. The side glasses and nicely gilt inside moldings are original.
